José Pariente Verdejo is a white wine made from 100% Verdejo grapes, with D.O. Rueda. This elegant, fresh, and complex wine is crafted using artisanal viticulture methods, with the winery and its family committed to sustainability and the high quality of their wines.

After the grapes are harvested, the winery begins fermentation in stainless steel tanks, as well as in concrete and wooden vats. Following fermentation, the wines remain on their lees for 4 months before blending these three vinifications.

The grapes come from older vineyards, about 30 years old, some from small viticulturists. Many of their soils are characterized by their gravel platform, low in nutrients but with some limestone outcrops at higher elevations. The continental climate, along with the Atlantic influence, forces the vines to search deep within the soil for additional water resources.

Brilliant straw yellow with greenish reflections, this wine is intense on the nose, fresh, and complex, featuring tones of stone fruits, pear, a touch of citrus like lemon, fennel, anise, and a hint of balsamic. On the palate, the flavors of fresh fruit stand out, complemented by the typical final bitterness of Verdejo. The finish is persistent, retronasal, and complex.

Serve it cold at around 8ºC, pouring small amounts into the glass to prevent it from warming. Keep the bottle in an ice bucket filled with ice and water.
