Marqués de Riscal Verdejo
Wineries Heirs of Marquess de Riscal S.L. You have 220 hectares of vineyards with an average of 25 years dedicated among others, planting native variety Verdejo. Versatile grape, of great character and personality, it is well adapted to the extreme conditions of the area, allowing the production of white wines fresh or fermented in oak barrels. After the alcoholic fermentation, the wine remains in contact with the lees in stainless steel tanks between 1 and 2 months. The lees deposited on the bottom of the tank move weekly with nitrogen (battonnage). After a period of maturation, the wine will be bottled between January and March following the harvest.
Marqués de Riscal Verdejo is a bright straw yellow wine. As befits the variety Verdejo, the nose has a high aromatic intensity, with aromas of tropical fruits both as notes of fennel and fresh grass. Refreshing palate is unctuous while a slightly bitter end of the range resulting from long and pleasant drink. It is shown together as a fresh and balanced wine.
Alcohol content: 13% vol.
Serving temperature: between 8 and 10 C.
Pairing: Salmorejo, fish to the oven.
