Description
San Román
San Román is a red wine from the O.D. Toro prepared by Bodegas Maurodos. At the front of this winery is Mariano García, I winemaker known for being the architect of Mauro and passing through the prestigious winery Vega Sicilia, where he was responsible for the development of 30 vintages of its wines mythical.
San Román takes 24 months aging in barrels of French and American oak barrels that are renewed by 20% with each vintage.
San Roman is a single variety Tinta Toro typical range of O.D. Bull. The proceeds grapes from different vineyards planted with old vines 45 years old at an altitude of 750 meters above sea level, with stony soils and sandy-loamy.
The climate is extreme continental climate with very little rain, lots of sunshine and strong temperature contrasts between day and night, which favors the correct ripening of the grapes.
Each plot is vinified separately.
