Botani Moscatel
Botani Moscatel is the first white wine of its kind to be produced in Málaga. The particularity lies in the development of a dry white wine from a grape variety sweet, the Muscat of Alexandria.
Very nice pace, with a very peculiar and suggestive character, this fruity white wine will last for a couple of years.
The vineyards are planted on poor soils of decomposed slate of difficult access, in the region of Axarquia, within the denomination DO Sierras de Málaga. With a very dry climate with an average age of 70 years, although there are some “young” about 30-40 years and some very old with an age of over 100 years.
The grapes reached a high degree of maturity and the harvest was extended from July to the first week of the month of October, a staggered vintage and very selected to bring greater complexity to this white wine from the winery Jorge Ordóñez & amp; Co.
Grapes macerated and fermented in tanks with indigenous yeasts. During 7 months, this wine Botani Moscatel Seco white 2017 rests on its lees in stainless steel tanks.
